SPERE
Spere was founded as a 2-piece in 2023 by members of the German Black Metal bands Horn and Halphas, with everything from songwriting to the live concept scripted to be played with one guitar, vocals and drums. The musical concept of Spere is rooted in mid-tempo Black Metal, focusing mainly on energetic, rhythmic structures and groove as well as eerie arpeggios, yet also incorporating elements of classic Heavy Metal and Doom Metal. In order to make up for the lack of musicians, Spere relies on varied drum fills and guitar effects transported via both guitar and bass amps.
The lyrical concept of Spere's debut album "Eight – led to the beam" is that of 8 fictional characters who became obsolete and met their end. Characters who overstayed their welcome in this world, those of will, of faith of energy or even of despicable nature.
Just as these characters, Spere features an archaic look revolving around the color bronze, oil lamps, flickering candle light and metallic artefacts.
On the basis of this 40-minute debut album, Spere is ready to enter the stages in the near future and demonstrate their concept to the world.
